China is the world's most populous country. In order to control population growth China implemented one child policy. According to this policy, only married couples could have child and they were prohibited to have more than one child.

However, recently there has been a shift in one child policy. Couples could apply to have more than one child.

The one child policy really harmed their country. There is a shortage of women because of the Abortions and forced adoption to abroad of baby girls. Some Chinese men have to go Abroad to find a wife because there is a shortage of women.

Another harm of One child Policy is the fact a grand child having no sibling will have a harder financial state because he or she will not have a sibling to help support their parents and grandparents financially.

I think two is always better. for one, it creates bigger bonds for siblings and is a safety net. Chances are you can have a boy or a girl or have two of each. and this is a great option as opposed to getting one child as one gender in the population may stand to suffer. so if there is space to apply for more, then people should take the opportunity.
